Protective Signal Installer Level 1
The objective of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive perspective of the skills and knowledge required to perform the duties of a Protective Equipment Installer. Protective Equipment Installers, as a vocation, perform varied skill and knowledge-based functions in multiple environments such as Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Nurse Call and Signaling Systems, and Telecommunications Systems, to name a few.
The safety of people and of facilities depends on the Protective Signal Installer’s abilities to correctly install and maintain multiple system types, and diagnose potential and immediate problems. A Protective Signal Installer who has both knowledge and skill enhances both safety and the industry’s reputation. This course is a (4) semester course, time to complete is 2 years.
