EPA regulations under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act require that technicians who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of equipment that could release refrigerants into the atmosphere must be certified. This course will review the exam core and type I, II, III sections of the EPA 608 exam.
Technicians are required to pass an EPA-approved test to earn Section 608 Technician Certification. The Section 608 Technician Certification credentials do not expire.

John KokJ.R. Kok has worked in the HVAC/R field for 30 years. In 1992, he completed a two-year technical degree in Commercial HVAC/R at Pinellas Technical Education Center in Florida. He holds a HVAC contractor's license in the state of Florida and a journeyman license in Idaho. In 2021, J.R. obtained a master of science degree in education through the University of Idaho. He is a full time associate professor at LCSC and an instructor for Workforce Training's HVAC program.
