The objective of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive perspective of the skills and knowledge required to perform the duties of an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright. Industrial Mechanics perform varied skill and knowledge-based functions in the manufacturing environment. Production depends on the Industrial Mechanic’s abilities to correctly identify potential problems; correctly diagnose potential and immediate problems; perform maintenance; repair or replace mechanisms; and perform a multitude of other duties. An Industrial Mechanic who has both knowledge and skill enhances safety, production and industry reputation. This course is a (5) semester course, time for completion is 2.5 years.
