CNA On CampusCertified nursing assistants are in great demand throughout the country. This course is a wonderful beginning to an exciting career in the healthcare industry. Classroom and clinical instruction covers the roles and responsibilities of providing basic nursing care to clients including taking blood pressure and radial pulse, charting, body mechanics, bathing, grooming, feeding patients and range of motion exercises. Attendance is required for the 80 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of clinical time to be scheduled outside of classroom hours at an approved facility. This course prepares you to take the State Registry written and skills tests.
HCP CPR is required and a class is provided for students at no additional charge.
Students are strongly encouraged to have personal health insurance while participating in this class. Health insurance is not provided by LCSC. Certain immunizations are required before students are allowed to participate in the clinical settings and you are required to pass a background check.
