LC STATE WORKFORCE TRAINING CNA PROGRAM
Certified nursing assistants are in great demand throughout the country. This course is a wonderful beginning to an exciting career in the healthcare industry. Classroom and clinical instruction covers the roles and responsibilities of providing basic care to patients including taking blood pressure and radial pulse, charting, body mechanics, bathing, grooming, feeding patients and range of motion exercises.
This online/on campus class is the State approved curriculum to prepare individuals for the registry exam and is offered to meet the needs of students who are unable to spend 80 classroom hours on campus. This class allows students to complete the theory portion of class online while attending 36 hours of required skills instruction on-campus and 40 hours of clinicals in an approved facility.
This class requires a motivated self-starting student with basic computer skills, and a computer with internet access.
Students are strongly encouraged to have personal health insurance while participating in this class. Health insurance is not provided by LCSC. Students are required to pass a background check and provide proof of immunizations before being allowed to participate in the clinical settings.
Healthcare Provider CPR is required for students and a class is provided at no additional charge. Upon completion of your registration, you will be contacted by our office with the date of your CPR class and further information about course requirements.
