Description
PARAMEDIC, ONLINE/ON CAMPUS (PRE-REQUISITES REQUIRED)
Paramedics provide advanced pre-hospital emergency care to the sick or injured and possess the knowledge and skills to perform advanced emergency interventions. Basic computer skills and high-speed internet access required. This course meets Idaho and NREMT standards for obtaining an EMT-Paramedic license. Upon successful completion of this 15-month program, students must pass written and practical exams for licensure. Call for more information. Prerequisites required. Hours: Classroom/Lab 138, Online 372, Clinical 250, Field 350. Actual hours may vary per student to meet minimum competencies in all program phases.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The 2021 Paramedic program is a hybrid course. Students will learn through online, face-to-face, clinical and field training rotations. The paramedic program will tentatively begin September 2021.
Admission criteria and prerequisites are listed in “Getting Started”. Applications to the program are due August 6, 2021.
